Life Lesson
When I was a freshman at BYU, we had a week off for the Winter Olympics because they were in Salt Lake City. Since I was too poor to go to any events, I decided to leave Utah and visit grandma and grandpa for a week. This was one of the last times I ever saw grandma because I left for my mission shortly thereafter. I remember going with her to Sunday School in her ward. The lesson was on Noah's Ark, and I was annoyed the whole lesson because these two ladies in the front row answered every question, whether they were called on or not. I did not have a good attitude about the lesson. After it was completed, grandma asked me what I thought of class. I answered (embarrassingly in retrospect) that I did not learn anything. She quickly responded, "You don't know that." I have always remembered this simple moment to remind myself that you learn things even when you do not notice.
